A wee note from Gareth about his adventures on the recent Achnasheen (Inver Hut) meet. Well done folks.

The September Ancrum meet was to Inver Hut near Achnasheen. We travelled up Friday 8th September and returned to Dundee on Sunday 10th.
Well this was my opportunity to tackle the 2 most remote Munros that I still have to do yet, Bidein a Choire Sheasgaich and Lurg Mhor. A mammoth of a day which required not only a walk of about 20 miles but also 5 ascents in total because not only were the 2 Munros having to be climbed but also a Corbett as well. Sheasgaich and the Corbett had to climbed again on the return home. Good weather was a must and a reasonably long day light wise. We therefore were just about at our limit doing this walk in September but the weather was fine when we threw back our covers and so these 2 Munros were a possibility and so it was that Lindsay, Tim and I set off from Craig with hope in our hearts.
We returned to Craig just short of 14 hours later. The owls were hooting us home as we approached the car but we had these 2 Munros well and truly bagged by the end of the day.
