The Ancrum is delighted to be hosting one of this year’s FREE Mountain Aid winter safety talks. The speaker for the evening is Dave “Heavy” Whalley who was a member of the RAF Mountain Rescue for 36 years. He was the Team Leader of RAF Leuchars, RAF Kinloss and Deputy Team leader at RAF Valley in North Wales. This experience gives Heavy a unique insight into the world of mountain rescue and also how to stay safe in winter.
This is a public event (not restricted to club members) so please do pass the word around and invite friends who are members of other clubs.
